“This was a commission for the one and only Jim Cheung, so it was both awesome and intimidating. It’s the second time I’ve been commissioned to do characters that the client designed and it can be nerve wracking. The first being the Conquest for Ryan Ottley. You look at the references and think “Damn man, how am I going to make it look anywhere near as badass?!” I decided I can’t so I just do the best version of these guys I can and hope they don’t hate it. So far so good…or they’re both being kind..either way, Jim seemed happy and that makes me happy.
